I'm Not Living In Cougar Town

I was planning to write a post on Cougar Town. I wanted to give the show the benefit of the doubt despite the stupid title. I was hoping it would be a funny show about dynamic women in their 40s, how perfect. Instead, the half-hour show reeked of desperation in its double-standard clichés and was written with fourth grade humor. After five minutes, I realized my time would be better spent sorting my sock drawer. Find something better to do next Wednesday night at 9:30. Have a fabulous day.

  1. You & me both...it was the worst show I've seen in a long time..next week I'm watching Glee at 9 pm on Fox, I enjoyed the pilot but keep missing the show. It's a bit like Fame which brings up so many memories of our teen years with the original Fame and now the remake is coming out too!

  2. I thought the show was depressing. The jokes were so stereotype and really insensitive. And that young guy who ended up going home with her was NOT hot at all. Couldn't they have gotten someone better - ala Sex and the City's Smith??

  3. Haven't watched yet but from the reviews I'd read, the verdict seems to be: not good.

  5. Jen, totally agree! It was the WORST! Every cliche they can think of. I am surprised if they will have anything for next week! Totally insulting to women! I will be shocked if this show lasts...shame on you Courtney Cox!
